Music and Traditions

 I personally don't have any music traditions that I associate with, but in this blog I'm going to talk about the weddings I have been a part of and the (similar) music each of them consisted of. To add on to that, I'm going to talk about my favorite kind of music to dance to, this isn't necessarily a tradition, but it's something I do daily.  My first entry is about two weddings, in one I was Maid of Honor, in the other I was the DJ. Both of these were wonderful weddings, but they each had something in common. Music. These ceremonies consisted of slow, loving, and lyrical songs. One in particular being "A Thousand Years" by Christina Perri.  I feel like this song is often played at ceremonies like weddings because of the meaning of it. In this song, the artist is stating that she will love the person, forever, which correlates to weddings and their meaning.   Hi guys, My name is Alyssa, and here are a few things about me; I am 19 years old and from Spartanburg S.C. I graduated from Dorman High School in 2024 and I'm currently a Freshman at Converse University. I adore animals and I have a pet cat named Pumpkin. I love driving and working on cars, I own a modified G35, and my dream cars are; an R34, R35, and a BRZ. I also like to dance, my favorite kind of dance is lyrical.  My music journey started in elementary school, when I was in 5th grade I played the violin for my school. However, once I entered middle school, 6th grade, I dropped the violin and switched to performing in the chorus. I was a member of my school choir from grades 6th to 10th. After 10th grade, I stopped getting involved in music during school and my music experience involved personal activities.
