Music and Traditions

I personally don't have any music traditions that I associate with, but in this blog I'm going to talk about the weddings I have been a part of and the (similar) music each of them consisted of. To add on to that, I'm going to talk about my favorite kind of music to dance to, this isn't necessarily a tradition, but it's something I do daily.

My first entry is about two weddings, in one I was Maid of Honor, in the other I was the DJ. Both of these were wonderful weddings, but they each had something in common. Music. These ceremonies consisted of slow, loving, and lyrical songs. One in particular being "A Thousand Years" by Christina Perri.

I feel like this song is often played at ceremonies like weddings because of the meaning of it. In this song, the artist is stating that she will love the person, forever, which correlates to weddings and their meaning. I also think the artist sings this song really well and has an amazing voice. I really enjoy listening to this song and being the one to play it.

Another song I have played/heard at these weddings, and several others; is "Perfect" by Ed Sheeran.

This song is also very meaningful, he sings about how his spouse is "perfect" in every way. It is a very beautiful song and even more beautiful when played during a ceremony where two people give their lives to one another.
